Every time I fly I am reminded about how amazing it is to be able to do what we do - and also the stark reality of the cost of flight training for private pilots and especially for those who have aspirations to fly commercially. Whilst there are so many organisations who inspire and support, there is still a lack of cohesive planning and financial support available. Inspiring others will bring about change and diversify our industry - but until the reality of the the cost of training is tackled it will always be pose a barrier to anyone not able to fund the training. I know this feeling first hand and I’m grateful to be part of initiatives which will bring about some change in the near future.
